Loretta Kinsella

Registered Nurse 

Loretta qualified as a registered nurse in 1983 and specialised in Renal and Urology nursing and has worked as a Urology sister and Nurse Practitioner. She also completed a Diploma in District Nursing and worked as a District Nursing Sister in deprived communities. 

 

Loretta then returned to the acute sector and worked as a Senior Divisional Nurse in surgical specialities across Portsmouth Hospitals, during this time she completed a BA in Public Sector Studies (Hons).In 2007 she took up a post as Director of Nursing, Midwifery & Governance in the Republic of Ireland where she implemented a Quality and Governance framework and Strategy.

 

On her return to the UK in 2009 she became the Director for the Central South Coast Cancer Network and completed a MSc in Palliative Care at King's College, London.

 

Loretta last position was as the Director of Nursing, Quality and Safeguarding for the Isle of CCG from which she retired in 2017. Loretta's passions and experience include Clinical Governance, Quality, Safeguarding and Palliative care. Since retiring from the NHS, Loretta now works as a staff nurse in Palliative Care, an area of nursing she finds rewarding and challenging.

Susan Martin

Vice-Chair

Susan is an experienced nurse with a background in acute care, training and practice development, recently specialising in palliative care.  She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at a North Hampshire hospice, supporting care homes and other primary care settings with education and practice development.

Sarah-Jo Davies

Trained at St Thomas' Hospital and formerly a School Nurse, Sarah-Jo works for a Children's Charity supporting families. She has worked in management within Children and Family Centres, worked for the Youth Offending Service and in Governance and Quality at a BUPA hospital. A Trustee of the Nightingale Fellowship, formally a Chair of Governors for a secondary school she is a Freeman of the City of London belonging to both an ancient Livery Company and the modern Company of Nurses.

Sarah Ivey
John O'Dowd

Consultant Spinal Surgeon

John is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon, based in London and Hampshire. He is medical director of RealHealth Netherlands, specialising in complex rehabilitation for patients with chronic low back pain. He was a co founder and education director for AOSpine the largest representative organisation for spinal surgeons globally. He is chairman of Cure International, a healthcare charity running hospitals in Africa and the Far East.

Tim is a Lead Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
